This task was to crete a zine that can be recreated 5 times with an identical outcome. To start with I thought about what a zine actually is and made a few experiments. The first experiment was making a zine out of one sheet of paper, which is one of the most common ways they are made. The second was more book like and I used thread rather than drawing the designs in.I really like how the thread feels and looks on the paper, it gives a different texture and almost makes the designs look 3d. It was difficult to sew through paper though and hurt my hands.

 

After experimenting with these, I leaned into the more book like approach and made a hardback book with photocopies of my own work inside, I think it looks really nice and gives it a finished, more professional feel.

After all my experiments, I finally made the master copy of my zine, once again using photocopies of my own work. I then photocopied the master copy to create 5 more identical looking zines, all bound together with stitching in the middle. I like them in the end but doing this task felt very repetetive and tedious, though Idid have alot of fun.
